The Kongo Hotel is one of the newest hotels in Haapsalu, located in Haapsalu Old Town and easy to find, even by newcomers to the town. Natural materials and light colours have been used in the interior design. The comfortable rooms are designed in Swedich cottage style. In addition to ordinary double rooms, the hotel also has a room with a sauna and kitchen corner.
Interesting to know: "Kongo", the unique name of the hotel dates back to the 1970s when a beer and wine bar was located on the site, where fights sometimes broke out between tipsy guests. It was said that they fought "just like in the Congo" - during the civil war in the African country of the same name.
